Tell Me About it Tuesday - Wedding Bells!

Today I'm linking up with My Bestie for Tell me about it Tuesday

Newlywed Moments
Hosts: Helene, Emily and Lauren

Saturday I was out to dinner with John and two other couples!
I had just pulled my phone out to check a date on the calendar for my friend Amber
(a lovely bride to be!)
when my phone rang - it was Kim.

Not that I don't love her, I just didn't want to be rude and answer in front of all our guests, so I hit *ignore*.  Two seconds later John's phone is ringing, and it's Kim. I'm kind of panicking now, my thoughts are going to oh no, has there been an accident?? Because of course I think worst case first!

I answer...she needs me to check her facebook!
She said "a friend called and said someone hacked onto my page, but I can't see it from my phone, will you check it then call me right back?"
"sure Kim..."

So I check her page and all I see is...
Kimmi Hughes
So I text back - Hey, all I see is a post about errands and a picture of someone's engagement ring.
She promptly informed me that it was hers!!
Wahoo!!!!

So Kim is my oldest friend! We were best friends as children and have stayed very close over the years!! She has asked me to be her Matron of Honor and I'm beyond thrilled!!

I've been in many a wedding as bridesmaids and various other attendants - but this will be the first time as a Matron/Maid of Honor!

So I need your advice, I want to do some really cute, special things for her - but I'm not sure what.

What are things you've done as the Honor Attendant in a Wedding or Your Honor Attendant did for you that you loved??

My bestie - Lauren, was my Maid of Honor, she had a beautiful handwritten card for me at every single event through all the bridal activities. They are all so special to me and was such a great gesture - I defiantly want to do that for Kim!

Keeping in that idea - I found this idea on Pinterest:
For MOH duty: Have each bridesmaid, mother, mother-in-law, aunts, etc... create a scrapbook page which includes a letter to the bride along with pictures. This is something she can read while she gets ready. The last page could be from the groom!

{Oh gosh... It just dawned on me that I'll need to write a toast!...}

  3. Rebekah, the idea about the scrapbook pages is wonderful. I did something similar for my mom's 60 surprise birthday party and she absolutely cherishes it. And what a great departure from a blender or toaster....lol. Here is a link to the book in case you would like to see it:
