Biggest Loser {2}

Well with any challenge it has it's ups and downs right?

Last week I weighed in at 197.5. Before last week I hadn't weighed in for about 3 weeks and before Christmas I had been weighing in around the low 190s. This week I ate well, did some exercising, I was successful with not having cokes(!!!), but unfortunately I weighed in this morning at 200.0 :(

Difference:+2.5 lbs.

I'm really disappointed that the numbers weren't in my favor, but I'm trying to look on the bright side. My pants are fitting much better! I feel much better than I did even a week ago. I have had repeated compliments that I am looking thinner - so ideally, I would like to think that I actually am becoming more fit, even if the pounds aren't dropping how I would like.

I'm trying to get back in the groove of logging my meals into My Fitness Pal - do any of you use MFP? I would love to make some new friends! Accountability is the best for me!!

I did a pretty decent job of logging my breakfasts and lunches into MFP this week, but then I would get home and be busy with things and forget to log dinner. I hope to do better with that this week.

I'm hoping to cut out a few more carbs this week, and possibly start the 30 day Shred. Hopefully that will help with that whole + sign in my weight log. I really considered not even bothering to post this week, but I really want to be honest and realistic with my blog. Sometimes things don't go as planned.

Thank you all so much for your encouraging comments last week! It's great knowing I'm not alone in this journey!!

  1. Don't sweat the numbers on the scale. It's the way you feel in your clothes that will really tell you that you're losing! Keep up the great work and don't get discouraged. You can do this! Have a great week! :)

  2. The dreaded scale! I've had so many set backs because of a scale!! Your doing great!! It's the little changes that start equally a lot!! ;-)

  4. Don't get discouraged. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat. The way your clothes fit and how you feel, should count for more than what the scale says, IMO.

I did a 6-week round of bootcamp a few summers ago. I worked out HARD for 1 hour, 6 days per week. I didn't lose any weight, but I lost a total of 12 inches (a complete clothing size). So, keep plugging away. You'll start seeing results soon!

  5. Sorry for your numbers. I know how discouraging it can be. Work so hard for a loss and end up with a gain or no loss at all. Way to go on not having an Coke, that is very hard to do. So that is a great job. This is a new week and you can do it! Keep your chin up!

  6. Girly don't get discouraged! There are multiple things that can affect that silly scale - use the scale as a guide that you're going in the right direction, but pay attention to your body for the REAL results. Your clothes are fitting looser AND you're getting compliments! That's GREAT!!!!!

I'm on MFP, I'm going to add you as a friend!

Keep up the great work and your awesome attitude!

  7. The dang scale is my worst nemesis. Don't sweat it. Just keep working out and as long as your clothes are fitting better you will get where you want to be.

Hang in there and keep your chin up!

  8. I am so glad you still posted! The Scale is a tricky thing, and it is more accurate to only weigh in once a month. I guarantee you see results next week. Not to mention that feeling good, and getting compliments is what it's all about anyways! Great work. I have MFP I'd up on my blog post. I would love to have more ppl holding me accountable!

  14. Hate the number game. It always seems to drop when it shouldn't and go up when it should drop. It's so weird. Keep up the great work. I'm on myfitnesspal too. I love having friends!!! I didn't see your username, so mine is lcmanicni. Find me!!

  17. No worries, dear - if your clothes are fitting better then that's a WAY better way to tell if you're losing weight than the scale anyway! I started 30 Day Shred before Xmas and I LOVED it - I stopped after a few days but I'm going to be starting again soon! And you should add me on MFP: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/mstaco7
